The public page

/l/{id} is the shareable one. Read-only, no account needed, nothing about who made it. If you own the list, you also get an edit shortcut on it — nobody else sees that.

Every list is also available as plain Markdown at /l/{id}.md:

This is meant for tools: an LLM or a script can read a list without wading through HTML. Every public page advertises it in the head, the same way sites advertise an RSS feed:

Browsers tend to download text/markdown rather than show it, so there is a human-friendly view at /l/{id}/markdown with the same text in a copy box. Use .md for machines, /markdown for people.

Random lists

/random sends you to a random list that has at least one link. No account, no ownership, nothing to set up — a bookmarklet or browser extension can point straight at it. Empty lists are never picked.

There is a JSON version at /api/lists/random for tools that would rather not follow a redirect.

What crawlers see

robots.txt keeps search engines out of the Markdown duplicates, and out of edit, delete, claim, account and sign-in pages. Public list pages are fair game.

Excluding something from a search index is not the same as hiding it. Anyone with a URL can still open it. If a list should not be public, do not publish it — private lists are a planned feature, not a current one.
